The Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing is delighted to announce that Hudson River Trading (HRT) will be sponsoring the Canadian Computing Competition (CCC), the Canadian Computing Olympiad (CCO), and the Canadian Informatics Workshop (CIW), all conducted by the CEMC. HRT is also the exclusive sponsor of the Canadian International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) and Canadian European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI) teams.

Hudson River Trading is a leading quantitative trading firm powered by a community of curious and technical minds who share a passion for complex problems, cutting-edge technology, and elegant code.

“Here at HRT, we support the CEMC because we are looking to expand interest in and access to enrichment math and computer science across the globe. The CCC and CCO encourage problem solving and non-traditional thinking, which are extremely valuable skills both in life and here at HRT to solve the kinds of problems we work on. We hope that through this sponsorship we can grow the community, make the experience in the community better, and show that HRT is the kind of place where people who enjoy these kinds of problems love to work.”

- Michael Ma, Math and Recruiting Program Ambassador at HRT

“We extend our sincere thanks to HRT for their gift to support our competitive programming initiatives for youth across Canada, and for believing in the importance and impact of the CEMC’s work as we empower the next generation of leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers.”

- Jen Nelson, Director, The Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing
