Course details
Students in Grades 6 to 8 from Ontario, Canada will be invited to participate in this camp, from as many different schools as possible. In particular, we will prioritize students who have limited access to resources at home and in their community. Through this camp, we aim to increase access to mathematics enrichment resources for participants from underserved communities.
Mathematics and computer science are powerful tools, and diversity among mathematicians and computer scientists increases the potential for positive impact. The CEMC strives to be inclusive and welcoming to participants of all gender identities, cultural backgrounds, and lived experiences.
- This week-long online enrichment program will provide participants with a chance to work with instructors and other youth who share their interest in math and problem-solving.
- Each day of the workshop will consist of an enrichment session in the morning and help sessions in the afternoon.
- Participants will be presented with materials and problem sets at each session. Possible topics include counting problems with permutations and combinations, ratios and musical scales and introduction to computer science.

- We expect that participants are prepared to actively engage and work on the problems each day.
