Conference details
This three-day conference is divided into two parallel sessions based on the grades taught:
- Educators teaching Grades 7 and 8 - sessions benefit educators from any province.
- Educators teaching Grades 9 to 12 - sessions are directed towards teaching and working with students in a more academic or university-bound stream of studies and are mainly for Ontario educators; however, educators from any province or country will benefit as well.
Participants stay in residence on campus at the University of Waterloo for three days and attend sessions focused on curriculum, pedagogy, and enrichment. The curriculum sessions will focus on problem-solving at any academic level. Participants can attend any session, without pre-registering for individual sessions. This includes any session in the Summer Conference for Computer Studies Educators that runs concurrently.
This conference is offered in-person from August 12 to August 14, 2025 at the University of Waterloo.
Participants stay at a University of Waterloo campus residence, are provided with a single occupancy room and gendered, shared washroom facilities. Accessible washrooms are also available on each floor. Most meals will take place at the residence food service facility which offers a range of dietary options at specific meal times, including vegetarian, vegan and halal meals. We do our best to accommodate all dietary needs. Parking is available on campus on request. If your accommodation needs are not addressed here, please reach out to us at cemc.events@uwaterloo.ca
