Every August, the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) offers conferences for math educators that focus on curriculum, extensions and enrichment aimed at university preparation. The sessions on curriculum will focus on problem solving.
This three-day residential conference is divided into two programs based on the grades taught:
The conference will be held in person at the University of Waterloo from August 13 to August 15, 2024.
Participants arrive on campus on the evening of Monday, August 12 and can depart after lunch on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
Participants are welcome to attend any session at any time, without pre-registering for individual sessions. This includes any session in the CS Educators conference that is running concurrently.

Registration will open mid-May and end early July.
Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. We anticipate that this popular event will be oversubscribed. It is better to register early as registration may close before the end of May, if the maximum number of participants is reached. Registration is restricted to two teachers per school until Monday, June 17.
The registration fee is $250 for each participant. This includes any applicable taxes, meals and accommodation. The conference fee remains the same for everyone regardless of whether they choose to stay in the accommodation provided.
