Conferences for Math Teachers

Every August, the CEMC offers conferences for teachers that focus on curriculum, technology and enrichment. The sessions on curriculum will focus on problem solving.

Intended Audiences

The Math Teachers' Conference for grade 7 and 8 teachers benefit teachers from any province.

While the Math Teachers' conference for grades 9 to 12 are directed towards university preparation and mainly Ontario teachers, teachers from any province or country will benefit as well.

Dates and Location

The conferences will be held Tuesday, August 21 through Thursday August 23, 2012 at the University of Waterloo. Delegates may choose some sessions from either of the Grades 9 to 12 programs.

Program

Grades 7 and 8 will be available mid-March.

Grades 9 to 12 will be available mid-March.

Registration

Registration will open in March 2012. We anticipate that this very popular event will be oversubscribed so it is best to register as early as possible.

Deadline

All registration requests must be recieved by May 31, 2012.

Fee

The cost to each participant is $125. This includes a dormitory room (possible shared accommodation) for up to three nights and meals. The banquet is on Wednesday evening.
